Get treated, use good hygiene (good bathing, good anal care, hand washing and changing and washing bed clothing and personal clothing) and get treated again if recurs.

Pinworm treatments include anthelmintic medications like Albendazole (Albenza), Mebendazole (vermox) or pyrantel  (Pin-X, Antiminth). Good handwashing is important. Wash clothing that has been worn recently, bed linens, upholstery and carpeting

Yes and no: I guess, you can look at this from 2 different angles. The "yes" angle is that their hygiene is not as good as that of adults (not universally true...), so they are more prone to contract pinworms than adults would. There is nothing wrong in their immune system, though, that makes them more prone to acquiring it and that's the "no" angle.

Local irritation and dry skin  can also cause discomfort that  responds to scratching.
