Agree w Dr. Alves: Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease from a parasite called trichomonas vaginalis. Most often women become infected by penis to vaginal contact or vaginal to vaginal contact. It reportedly can infect the mouth ; anus but can not survive in those areas.

Trichomonas Rx: Trichoomonas treatments need to be given for a designated therapeutic periods of time. If the treatment is not taken for the duration of therapy, or is given at a shortened regimen, it can fail. Moreover, the most common problem(not in your case) is the partner's failure to take the medication. Make sure your are re-tested after each Rx to be sure it was successful or not.

the second question is debatable, before it was considered a STIn it was thought that was cause by a disequilibrium of the  normal microbiome and growth of the parasite.

Clindamycin could trigger a vaginal yeast infection, but yeast usually causes only a little white discharge or none at all; the main symptom is irritation and itching.
