Not usually: But why not replenish this vital vitamin, as it is critical in numerous immunological and hormonal bodily functions, and deficiencies have been associated with numerous problems.  Give it at least 3 months, and recheck levels at that point.

Any other tests?: Have you done any other tests such as CT of brain or had a good neurological exam? If not, I suggest you do have this done.

Diagnosis: Balance problems may be otologic (inner ear) or central (brain).  The symptoms sound like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (an inner ear disturbance caused by loose calcium carbonate stones).  See an 
ent physician for appropriate diagnosis and therapy.
