Estradiol: Low estrogen level can, it's called perimenopause. Testosterone deficiency in a female like you won't cause it. Check w/your doctor.

Dizziness: Warm and hot feeling and chills followed by lightheadedness or dizziness are non-specific symptoms of one disease.  It could be due to hormonal influences. However, chest tightness may be due to a serious condition. I suggest you see your physician for proper history physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.

what causes idiopathic edema in post menapause , it makes me so dizzy. , feel bloated ,vision not right   ect. cant take meds, or hormones    any help?

NUTRITION!: "Idiopathic" MEANS there is no "CAUSE" ..thus your question unfortunately really has NO answer!! However if you are not eating well and your serum PROTEINS are low this may be a reason for the "leakage" of fluid from your vascular system. You need (if you are otherwise healthy) a HIGH PROTEIN DIET... see a Nutritionist after consulting your doctor!  Hope this helps

hi drs, have any1 ever heard of a patient getting dizzy, fatigue, and mental fog on their period. if so what could it possible causeing it? hormones?

Period. Brain Fog: Fatigue and brain fog are documented symptoms of menstruation. Hormonal fluctuations can also cause dizziness. If you would have excessive blood loss it is possible to become hypotensive which can also cause dizziness. Recommend you discuss this with your gynecologist and come up with a treatment plan. Best wishes. Under the heading of things could always be worse, i remember a woman whosemenstruation resulted every month in a two-week episode of psychosis. She would then clear completely.She was never able to leave the psychiatric facility during the entire time that i worked at this particular state hospital.Hormone fluctuations can have obvious powerful effects in predisposed individuals.

What is the cause?: Perhaps the cause of your symptoms is most important before determining what treatment should be used.

If the cause has something to do with the inner ear, and medicine treatments cannot be tolerated, perhaps vestibular therapy would help?   This is often provided by a special physical therapist.

? JHS: 34y fem w. POTS has dizziness &amp; leg pain. Women with these symptoms often have sciatica &amp; transient dizziness with standing up. The underlying and unifying pathology might be Joint Hypermobility Syndrome, which can be inherited. See comments below.

Not uncommon: It is not uncommon to feel somewhat weak after any procedure that requires general anesthesia.
If you had only  a hemithyroidectomy, the remaining thyroid lobe should be adequate to make enough to meed the needs of your body for thyroid hormone, but it is important to have periodic blood tests to be sure that your levels are adequate.

Probably not: The most common cause in your age range is vasovagal disease assuming you have no significant heart disease.  Tilt table testing is used to diagnose this but you should have a full assessment.
