A member asked:

Hi drs, have any1 ever heard of a patient getting dizzy, fatigue, and mental fog on their period. if so what could it possible causeing it? hormones?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Period. Brain Fog: Fatigue and brain fog are documented symptoms of menstruation. Hormonal fluctuations can also cause dizziness. If you would have excessive blood loss it is possible to become hypotensive which can also cause dizziness. Recommend you discuss this with your gynecologist and come up with a treatment plan. Best wishes. Under the heading of things could always be worse, i remember a woman whosemenstruation resulted every month in a two-week episode of psychosis. She would then clear completely. She was never able to leave the psychiatric facility during the entire time that i worked at this particular state hospital.Hormone fluctuations can have obvious powerful effects in predisposed individuals.
