i think i have a skin tag on my labia. theres only 1, its soft, and sometimes, theres liquid that comes out of it, when i squeeze it (kind of like a pimple). have not had sex with my husband in months. is it sti? or just a skin tag? thank you!

More likely: a sebaceous and follicular cyst,it  can be removed, does not sound like an STI .  See your doctor, to get treatment and reassurance.

Skin tag/mole:  Skin tags can have different appearances. However, this lesion would likely need to be examined and more history obtained to be able to provide you with useful input about the diagnosis or possible treatment.

i have a skin tag like this on my labia, its soft, it can be moved around... after my shower i was wiping (because my period came) and there was a little white dot on the tag, so i popped it, and clear liquid came out. hoping not a sign of cancer?

: Skin tag does not contain fluid and you should not see a white dot on it. You might have a cyst, not a cancerous lesion, hopefully it will go away after you broke it. Watching the site for now, only concern if it recurs and grows quickly.

Skin tag: This doesn't sound like an STD. The only STD that might mimic a skin tag is genital warts, but usually there are multiple warts, not a single one. Have your doctor check it out -- probably it is indeed just a skin tag.

i have what appears to be a medium sized pink wrinkly raised spot on my labia, but there are also a bunch of tiny red flat spots on the skin above my clitoral hood and what appears to be a skin tag on my inner thigh. whats going on with my skin?

: You need to have these areas of concern examined by a doctor to determine what the diagnosis is and to determine what treatment, if any, is needed. You could see your gynecologist to have the area checked. Thee is no way to diagnose what is wrong without an examination. Good luck!

Size: Skin tags are common and always benign. Although polyps may occur on mucosal membranes they are rare on skin. Polyps that occur anywhere have the potential to be malignant and may require biopsy for histologic evaluation. They are generally much larger than skin tags.

i had a skin tag removed off my labia majora just above my clitoris, and my ob cut a mass amount of the surrounding skin too. so really nasty lookin?

Get more information: Talk to your doctor about the skin tag that was removed.  Was there anything abnormal about it?  Understand why they removed what they did.  Would you need any further procedures?  Tell them your concerns, and they can help you determine if this is normal, not completely healed, etc.

Skin tag ?'s: Labial "skin tags" can occur normally, and are benign.  Wart virus can also produce growths which appear similar to skin tags. This virus is very communicable, and can be picked up accidentally by males or females using public bathrooms by not washing hands thoroughly after use.  Get an exam by your GYN physician to make this diagnosis certain.

With a drop of local: A drop of local anesthetic will sting for about 30 seconds. After that, removal of the skin tag should be painless.

i am just curious as to whether all that rubbing and tightness could cause like small skin flaps and/or skin tags in my labia area?

Accepted Answer

No: Skin tags are very common and are not necessarily located in areas that are associated with tight fitting or rubbing clothes.  Also, "skin flaps" in the labial area are not caused by this either.  I would suggest that if you have some new growths or changes in the labial area, that you should get them examined.
