: Anal tears are painful. Aspercreme Lidocaine can numb the area for a couple of hours at best. Depending on the cause, you need to change your habits. If constipation caused this, you need to focus on eating a diet high in fiber rich fruits, vegetables and lots of water and low in high fat foods.

Why are you doing th: Just why are you doing this?  Yes lidocaine gel will numb the skin but you be careful what you do for you can cause worse infection and thus more issues.

Not a good idea: While Lidocaine cream might temporarily  numb his skin you will still have to scrub very hard to remove this paint. In addition to damaging his skin with all this rubbing it will start to hurt him once the cream wears off. As long as his skin is not red and irritated it would be better to gently clean the area with mild soap and let the paint come off slowly over a couple of days.
