can i use cortisone for fungal rash?

No.: Cortisone will have little or no effect on a fungal rash, other than to mask the symptoms and make you think it is going away. Fungal rashes require antifungal creams.

Dermatologist: Such an eruption may be seen in eczema, psoriasis or reaction to gluten in his diet. A dermatologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat him. If he's already been seen by a dermatologist, I recommend getting a second opinion. Appropriate tests can be done.

groin itch >6 months been to doc 3 times. tried 4 prescription fungal + cortizone (hydrocortisone).  latest was lotrisone and econazole spray on top now rash appeared. pleasehlp?

Consuming sugar: is like throwing a party for yeast and some other infections.  Please consider an additional approach by excluding sugar from your diet.  Do you drink lots of soda or eat lots of sweets?  Please do what your doc says.  Change underwear daily and keep the area dry.  Peace and good health.

Rash: Would recommend being seen. However, topical creams often not effective for more of a systemic rash. See your provider and get oral steroid and or antihistamine. See your doctor.

Hypopigmentation: After a skin inflammation area or dermatitis lesion due to any reason is resolved, it will look lighter than the surrounding normal skin area. It is likely due to suppression or death of the local pigmented cells in the process. The white patch is more pronounced if you have dark complexion or expose to sunlight. It will gradually fade away. It might take many months or longer.

i have a 13 month old son. he is having rashes (mild eczema) all over the body. i am putting hydro cortisone. what else can we do. is it safe?

Eczema: you need to make sure to use hypoallergenic shampoos. Also do quick baths to help not dry the skin too much. Thrm moisturize the skin with hypoallergenic lotion to keep the skin hydrated. Do the lotion more frequently., like 2-3 times per day. Hydrocortisone use is only for short term
