Seroquel (quetiapine): Its not known whether seroquel (quetiapine) causes thyroid dysfinction.. Before starting medication make sure thyroid levels r good. Seroquel (quetiapine) can cause weight gain. Its an antipsychotic drug. Weight gain inturn leads to insulin resistance . Avoid alcohol use when taking seroquel (quetiapine) . Alcohol can raise seroquel (quetiapine) levels and can cause toxicity

We can also ingest formed carnitine in meats. --or as a supplement.  Carnitine can serve as an energy cofactor at the cellular level and is believed valuable for myocardial dysfunctions. Carnitine may inhibit thyroid hormone action at the cellular level, tho.
