Pepcid: there is no interaction between the two.  Pepcid will help protect your stomach from a possible ulcer from the ibuprofen, so unless you have been told you should not take ibuprofen ever due to a severe stomach issue that you already have, there should be no problem.  There is even a pill available now that combines the two products together.

Multiple medications: Hold ketorolac or ibuprofen, both are NSAIDs, stick to one only, with ketorolac use the lowest effective dose, better not to exceed prescribed dose and duration, the rest are fine to take at the same time, good that you asked, always exercise caution with multiple medications,

was recently put on 20mg famotidine twice a day. is it okay to take either ibuprofen or naproxen for pain (such as menstrual cramps/headaches/muscle aches) while on famotidine? its not extended release. and are these okay to take on birth control?

All ok: with birth control.  Ibuprofen, naproxen, may increase gastric irritation/inflammation.

Yes: Pepcid may protect the stomach from possible damage induced by Advil (ibuprofen). Such protection however depends on the doses of each of the 2 medications. Small doses of Advil (ibuprofen) will not protect against high doses of advil (ibuprofen)

surgery last week and was taking oxycontin motrin augmentin & medrol. i got the most painful indigestion in my middle upper abdomen, loud belching (more after eating or drinking) & loud gurgling. pepcid helps a lot but what else should i do?

: You may be dealing with medication induced gastritis. These medications can be taken with food but not on an empty stomach. Continue pepcid. Avoid alcohol,caffeine. spicy and greasy foods. If you note bloating from gas, take simethicone 1/2 hour after meals &amp; at bedtime. Notify your MD if not improved.

Yes: The medicine in vicodin works on different pain receptors than ibuprofen.  In addition,  Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory where vicodin is not.

Probably but why?: With generic versions available, it is cheap enough to not to worry over the cost.   I am unaware of expired Pepcid (famotidine) causing harms although it may be less effective. The us army had done some study on this issue and found that many but not all drugs could be used for , i believe, a few more years after the expiration date.

Not in a single dose: That would be an overdose for this medication.
