Yes if: If you are in bed already, the additional sedative effect from Vicodin won't make much difference. I presume that you are taking these pills because of pain. Be sure that you are alert enough the next morning before you drive or operate a bulldozer.

With care: the two in combination may lead to increased CNS depression and increased side effects  after 5 hours it should be ok   also be sure your physician knows you are on both medications

No not recommended: Ambien (zolpidem) especially at higher doses may have some unpredictable / undesirable side effects. It can also cause dependency/tolerance  issues. It is best to find out the cause (ie worsening pain, etc) of your insomnia instead of overdosing with Ambien (zolpidem),

Yes it would be bad: and the fact that you are asking that online rather than of the prescriber would lead me to believe that either 1) it is NOT prescribed and/or 2) you do not want the prescriber to know how much you are taking. If you had 8 Vicodin or equivalent you are also pushing the tylenol (acetaminophen) to maximum levels you should be taking. The FDA has made 5 mg the recommended dose of Ambien in women;15-20 TOO MUCH.

Ans: No. What are you doing!  Get off all of these medicines. If you can't sleep exercise. If you are anxious walk exercise and see a therapist. If you have pain find the source of the pain and get appropriate treatment
