Theoretically yes,: no interaction between beer and dextromethorphan, the cough sedating component of the Mucinex DM, but if two beers make you drowsy, and the dextromethorphan has this potential too, so it won't be advisable. Maybe...: If a person had no problems taking Mucinex DM in the past, and she had no problems taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) in the past, then she should be fine this time taking both medications (because the two medications have different ingredients) either together or apart... as along as she is not taking too much of either medicine than she should take in one day.

: Does your DM syrup allow for every 4-6 hour dosing? If so waiting 12 hours shouldn't be a problem for taking the other medication even though traces of DM will be in your system. Your pharmacist can validate this advice.

Same medication: Mucinex (guaifenesin) and Robitussin are both Guaifenesin.  The maximum dosage from all sources is 2400 mg/day.  Make sure to drink copious water and not exceed the total dosage per 24 hours.  The DM part is the cough suppressant dextromethorphan.

i took mucinex (guaifenesin) dm 1 hour ago. i have anxiety attacks and i find two shots stops them. can i take the alcohol without causing too much damage to my bod?

I'm: Alcohol will relieve anxiety in the short-term. However it is likely to make your anxiety condition worse in the long-term. I suggest you see your family doctor to discuss treatments for your anxiety. These can take many forms, including benzodiazepines antidepressants and counseling. Newer antidepressants are very effective for many people in relieving anxiety symptoms. Hope this helps.

i take vyvanse 60mg once a day. currently, i have a bad cough & thick phlegm. i read that you should take mucinex dm with vyvanse. is this true? dm is the only one that seems to help. if i wait a couple hours after taking vyvanse will it be okay?

Vyvanse: DM(dextromethorphan) is listed as a potential interactor with Vyganse and thus should be avoided. DM suppresses cough. I feel you need to loosen phlegm and should take plain mucinex rather than suppress your cough. Mucinex will help loosen phlegm and help you expectorate it.

Not a problem: That is a reasonable combination of medications for your symptoms.  Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm has a cough suppressant and a mucus thinner.  The Ibuprofen does not overlap with either ingredient.
