Pregnancy: Have you had recent unprotected sex?   It is possible to conceive while you have an ovarian cyst,  so if you suspect pregnancy get a test done.   Other possibilities would include stds, bacterial infection,  or trichomonal infection.  If you suspect any of those (bad smell,  itchy, irritating, or painful discharge) then see your doctor. May be normal: If the pain is getting somewhat better, you should be ok. Signs to be worried: pain that gets worse, nausea/vomiting, fever. As long as the pain is improving, your body is likely dealing with the cyst fluid on its own.

Any irritation : Of the peritoneal lining of the abdominal cavity is peritonitis.  An ovarian cyst can bleed when it ruptures, and blood can cause a local peritonitis.  But this is way different from bacterial peritonitis, which is what results from perforated GI organ, like appendix.  These are much worse, and can actually be fatal.  So seriousness depends on the source and type of peritonitis.

Yes: A cyst ruptures to release the egg.  It ruptures during ovulation.

Ruptured Cyst: Pain during or after your period with a ruptured ovarian cyst is not an uncommon occurrence. It is more than likely that your ovaries are not damaged. However, if the pain is getting worse or you notice abnormal bleeding it would be best to be evaluated by your gynecologist.

No but related: Cysts can persist if one is not regularly ovulating which can also throw off your cycle regularity.  If you do not get your period in another 4 days, take a pregnancy test.

No and  No: Symptomatic ovarian cyst rupture is extremely common.  In fact, many women can feel when they ovulate - this is the same thing - rupture of a cyst and release of an egg.  Sometimes, this cyst can bleed and is likely what you are referring to.  The ovary will heal and there are no lasting effects of these events.
