do i have prickly heat rash? i did hot yoga yesterday and now i am covered head to toe with tiny flat red bumps. they're especially bad on my glutes & quads. they itch, and i don't feel particularly good. they're not raised or full of pus

Heat : Heat rash (miliaria rubra) occurs when your sweat glands become blocked and sweat is trapped under the skin.  This can cause a red rash that can either look like little blisters or larger red lumps.  It can be itchy or "prickly" which is why many people refer to it as prickly heat.  Even though it can be annoying, the good news is that it usually resolves on its own.  You can help by preventing sweating such as staying in a cool environment, wear lightweight clothing of breathable material (like cotton), and limiting physical activity in the heat.  Calamine lotion can help with the itch.  Good luck!

Very likely normal.: Any lump present for that long is benign. The cause differs on whether the lump is on the skin or actually on the testicle.

Uncertain:  Some people develop hives &amp; itching when they shower in hot water. That is called heat urticaria (cholinergic urticaria). There are many types of rashes- I don't know what type of rash you have. So, I don't know.

Hot Weather Rashes: Heat can cause friction and sweating, both of which can lead to rashes, especially in folds.  See your dermatologist for a correct diagnosis and the appropriate treatment.

i got bit by a spider about 20 years ago.shower i put a bar of soap and a wash cloth and and used it on the bite it .it got real pusy and a rash started to travel inside the bite.it i get bad rashes  that startes on the bite when im hot its worse??

: Are you sure there is no rash when you have the itching? There is an allergic condition called cold urticaria, triggered by cooling the skin. If that's it, you should see hives (welt-like itchy pink spots). See your personal physician, or a dermatologist. Good luck.

Need exam for Dx: Many things can cause a rash on chest and neck.  If you are not bathing with soap, then that can be eliminated, but clothing often has soap/softener residue.   People with atopic dermatitis will often get a rash from friction of clothing around the neck or areas that perspire.  Seborrheic dermatitis is common in hairy areas.  Psoriasis can occur anywhere.  Tinea versicolor is fungus on chest/back.

whenever i go in the sun i get a rash within 15 minutes. doesn't itch or burn but feels hot. sunscreen doesn't help. should i be concerned?

Have evaluation: You could simply be sensitive to the sun and not using a sunscreen that simply needs to be stronger  which is probably most likely. However, there are other conditions such as autoimmune conditions that can cause increase photosensitivity which you are describing. It may be worth a medical evaluation to be complete. Good luck

Heat urticaria: There is a condition called urtacaria which cauese histamine to be released and cause red itchy bumps.  This has many causes such as chemicals, stress, heat and cold.  If this is causing distress, see your doctor.

Maybe hives: You may have hives, or urticaria, triggered by your emotional upsets. There is a condition called systemic mastocytosis, which can cause what you describe. But urticaria can be caused by anything that causes special tissue white blood cells called mast cells to release histamine and other chemicals under your skin. Triggers for mast cell activation may be allergic or nonallergic like emotions.
