Probably: Some of the medications you take will get into the breast milk but given the severity of your rash, i think the risk /benefit ratio favors taking the medications since the medications would be present in only trace quantities and not likely to affect your infant. 
How did you get a nettle rash in an austrian winter? 
I'd have thought that an edelweiss rash would be more likely :)).

: Follow your physician's advice and let your injury heal. Practice is just that... practice. Failure to allow proper healing may exacerbate the injury, causing permanent damage and a lifetime of issues.

Cold compresses: and immobilization temporarily with a removable wrist splint also works.  I assume you have had an x-ray done to eliminate the possibility of fracture.  And I assume the swelling was not spontaneous, but rather preceded by some form of trauma.  The possibilities are different depending upon the etiology and may need to be further evaluated by your PCP

Normally not very: However, i would wait a while until the issue of contaminated corticosteroid injections is completely solved... Actually, i don't know the status of that, check on the fda or cdc website for advice.

: Yes, that is generally OK. If you're seeing the same doctor for both issues, they would be the best professionals to determine that. Cortisone shots are generally not given more often than 2-3 months apart in the same joint and up to 3-6 x/year altogether (depending on which specialists you ask). However, as there are side effects, you should make sure that all your doctors know about this.
