Hold off: I would hold off until you finish the meds. You were prescribed the z-pac for an infection. Drinking can suppress the immune system and you need it to be strong to fight the infection.

Don't know, but...: Since there are no double-blind, randomized control trials to answer this question, can't tell you for sure. However, the question that I have is - since zithromax is usually given only for a few days, if you don't feel like you can safely refrain from drinking alcohol for even that period, might you be struggling with an alcohol problem. Please discuss this with your doctor asap.

No!: First, Azithromycin (zithromax) is not mean to be mixed with anything except the liquid provided by the pharmacy (when it comes to you as a suspension).  Mixing it with any other liquids than water could inactivate the drug, and then you're not getting the antibiotic effect you just pain a bunch of money for!  and you won't get better!
secondly, Azithromycin is not heat stable above 86 degrees.
