Stay away: A lot of herbal tea ingredients aren't recommended due to unknown effects. I'm sure the occasional bit of tea isn't any harm at all but I wouldn't drink them constantly without confirmation from your pediatrician and just stick to straight black or green tea. Hibiscus is on the list because, I believe, it can influence estrogen.

Not sure: I couldn't find anything specifically about HIBISCUS tea, but tea in general can both antagonize warfarin (lower the INR) and also promote bleeding by interfering with platelet function which won't show up in the INR. That said, I'll bet a lot of people on warfarin drink tea, so if he loves tea, I'd say use it cautiously and monitor the INR.

Giddy: The first thing to do is to stop drinking three cups of hibiscus tea a day for about a week.

If you stop having the symptoms you will no how to proceed.

If the symptoms do not go away it is unlikely related to hibiscus tea and you should see your doctor for evaluation and management.

i have acid reflux and i found a herbal hibiscus caffeine free mango tea made by lipton(unsweetened) also extra no sugar added. can i try that? i'm getting tired of drinking water. thanks?

: Only by trying can you tell. Go to uptodate.com and read about GERD.  I recommend all with this put 4 or 8 inch blocks under the head feet of your bed. Gravity never sleeps. And if your BMI is greater than 25 getting it lower may help as well. Again gravity never sleep and fat pushing on your belly when you sleep can aggravate gastric reflux. Keep reflux diary.  Discuss with Dr.

Herb tea: The above ingredients are common garden plants, not toxic.  Birth control should not be affected.

Ask your OB: But it is not supposed to be taken during pregnancy due to possible effects on the uterus.

Not Safe: Multiple sources state that hibiscus tea may have "anti fertility" effects during pregnancy and may cause miscarriages.  It is supposed to have potent anti-estrogenic properties. So don't take the chance and drink it

Don't be worried: because your body took care of the issue.  Hibiscus tea is quite safe, even has some health benefits like reducing blood pressure.  Plus, it's tasty!  But maybe your body is saying you don't like it, or there was something else in it that didn't agree with you.  I wouldn't worry too much about toxins being involved at all.

Eat Healthy foods: There are many tales about odd ball foods and herbs. Avoid anything that is scientifically unknown.
Besides regular consumption of food (3 main macronutrients: Carbs, Proteins and Fats) eat a healthy dose of green vegetables and fruits daily.
Maintain  a healthy weight and do daily exercise such as a daily walk to keep you fit.
