Better off not: How much alcohol are we talking about?  If "social" drinking - one or two literally - then it should not make a difference.  However, alcohol impairs both healing and blood clotting, and if you are also taking Ibuprofen increases the chance of stomach or upper intestinal inflammation as well.  I recommend little or no alcohol until healing is complete.

Off painkillers: Once you no longer need strong pain medications -- and this may be just after surgery -- and you're able to walk around safely, you can go back to relaxing with your favorite beverage. I hope you drink sensibly.

No fixed advice, but: For an average healthy 22- y-o man, an uneventful hydrocelectomy alone and its incision should heal well and should pose no additional risk to what you may plan to do as described. Nonetheless, without a direct look and awareness about how surgery was done and how your general health composure, it is hard to give 100% guaranty; one has to exercise commonsense for daily living; be conservative!

Yes: I'm not aware of any interaction between amoxicillin and alcohol.  That being said alcohol can effect sleep, immune system function,  etc..so if you are fighting an infection I would be especially careful about limiting the amount taken.

i drink alcohol every day, usually around half a bottle of wine, sometimes more (at weekends). have done this for around 8 years. i have decided to quit. how long will it take my immune system to recover from the damage done? will it recover?

No time at all: Alcohol itself does not significantly damage the immune system, even in the moderately large amounts you describe. Your immune system probably is fine; any possible effect from alcohol is gone within 24 hours. If you have liver damage, that could reduce your resistance to certain kinds of infection, but this effect usually is minor.

evla done on leg and was given 800 mg motrin to take 3x day for 3 weeks till my other procedures are also done. can i drink alcohol with motrin?

Yes: Yes, it should not produce an unpleasant side effect if that's what you're worried about. And unlike Tylenol, (acetaminophen) it's not as hard on your liver, as is alcohol, so it's not as big a concern.

No: Alcohol is not good for you, with or without the meningiomas. For monitoring meningiomas, follow your doctor's advice.

Drink alcohol?: I would check with your cardiologist to be sure some studies show that a drink or 2 a day can be beneficial but not to over do it. It is a little concerning though that you had to go thru such a procedure and one of your main concerns is drinking alcohol.

Cardiomyopathy: Alcohol is not likely to directly effect a repaired valve. However, heavy alcohol usage can cause alcoholic cardiomyopathy. This toxic effect injures the heart muscle, diminishes the muscle function, and dilates the heart. Dilation causes valves to leak. "echocardiogram may show enlarged heart chambers, leaking valves, and reduced pumping efficiency"
