Good question!: If you smoke, don't!  take Aspirin 75 mg - 325 mg daily. Keep BP and blood sugar under control. Exercise daily.  Even if it's just for 15 min. Eat a mediterranean or low fat diet and take a statin. Finally, if you have rest pain, non-healing ulcers or very limiting pain with walking, consider revascularization by balloon/stent or surgery.

ASA: Would be a reasonable step if you do have circulation issues. However, it would be worthwhile to get your legs checked.

i am having hyperthyroid and my t4 reading was very high..44..suddenly my calf stiff and 2 weeks my right leg was in pain ...cant walk..and later cant sleep become insomnia. all these causes by my hyperthyroid? what should i do? tq?

May feel like it: bisoprolol is a beta blocker and needs to be tapered off gradually depending on your dose and the length of time you have been on it.  If you stop it abruptly you will have tachycardia, possible palpitations and feel generally terrible.  Yes those symptoms are similar to hyperthyroid symptoms!  See your doctor!  Your blood pressure is probably high too!!!

I think so: Hyperthyroid hormone levels increase the metabolic activities of almost all tissues of the body. The basal metabolic rate can increase to as much as 60 to 100%  above normal.  This will excite areas of activity including effecting blood flow to the skin and other areas as well as increasing the likelihood of extreme nervousness with multiple psychoneurotic tendencies such as anxiety complexes etc.

hi i've been to the hospital for feeling faint and weakness in my legs. blood test has shown an overactive thyroid. can this cause these symptoms ? i hate the feeling of feeling faint. and nauseous. dr isn't worried right now due to other tests done?

: Hyperthyroidism can cause severe muscle weakness,weight loss, rapid heart rate and systolic hypertension.  Work with your team to see which type you have as that will determine how to get you back to good health.

Not much: Leg swelling is not a typical complication of hyperthyroidism but if the two are related, using a medication like methimazole to bring your thyroid hormone levels down to normal may help in a month or two.  If the swelling persists you should consult with your doctor.

no tests yet.this's been happening for years: eyes are normal size when i wakeup but v.dry,after a long & stressful day of college eyes feel bigger,rounder & tired.i get tired easily when studying 1/2 hr.leg weakness,usually on edge, hyperthyroidism?

: You would need to get thyroid function blood tests to find out for sure if you have hyperthyroidism. You would likely have other symptoms as well-like weight loss in spite of eating normally, insomnia, etc. So, see your doctor and get the blood tests done to see if you have any thyroid problems.
