Yes: Hpv causes warts.  The warts can be on the skin or on mucous membranes.  They can also be internal, such as on the vocal cords or cervix.

: HPV causes no inflammation of any kind. It definitely is not the cause of your rash. But see a doctor to check out the rash. Probably not serious (and not likely due to any STD), but should be quick and easy to diagnose and probably effective treatment is available once the cause is known. But for sure it's not HPV.

It's your choice: Almost everybody has a few strains of HPV. Even the dangerous strains produce only lesions that are manageable if detected early -- with a woman's pap smear and a man simply keeping an eye on himself, the danger to life is minimal. Many couples like condoms, but if you're monogamous and dislike them, it's really your decision.

Ask DR if type: Many wart viruses, different behaviors. Most people who carry wart viruses, potential carriers to others, are not aware that they have them. So most transmission is from a source ignorant of his infection.

See your doctor: What you describe could be one of several conditions.  The only way to know is to be seen by a physician, probably a dermatologist, perhaps a urologist.  Your family physician/internist would be a place to start for some blood tests, perhaps cultures of the rash, and a referral.

Months plus: HPV genital warts are cousins of the simple skin wart, They are from a different strain but arise &amp; appear in much the same way &amp; have a similar staying power.  Once they are there they are there they will stay for months to years, growing in place with others nearby. If you don't have them removed by laser/chemical treatments or freezing they might clear in two years.

Have it checked: It would probably be best to have the rash checked by your doctor to see what it is.  Many rashes can appear on the penis and several are sexually transmitted.  If you don't have a doctor, dermatology or urology might be best to see you.

It doesn't: An hpv rash?  Hpv in general terms doesn't cause a rash in men.  It can cause bumps.  I do rectal paps on my male population because of the high prevalence in the gay community here.  I think you may have been misdiagnosed.

Unrelated to HPV: If you are referring to genital HPV, those strains are limited to specific areas, which does not include your stomach skin. This is something else.With a proper history and exam you can find out what it is and how to treat it.

Her doctor will want to examine the shot site, and want to know whether any skin breakdown happened spontaneously or was due to her scratching at the shot site. Her doctor will try to decide if there was an allergic reaction, a chemical reaction, or an infection at the shot site.
