: After  you have stopped pulling out  your hair for about five to eight weeks , it could start growing back . The damaged hair follicle  will recover slowly over the next 2 years if there is no further hair pulling . Your doctor might  suggest the best strategies to avoid  hair pulling  ,including   therapy , and joining a support group . The prospects for recovery are good .

Wellbutrin:  Wellbutrin has been known to cause positive drug screens for  amphetamine, methamphetamine, &amp; LSD - Lysergic acid diethylamide (not sure if these are hair follicle tests) . I would discuss with a chemist who works with drug screening to find out if there is a way to show that this was a false positive.

Poop out: Unfortunately antidepressant poop-out isn't rare. This may happen with any antidepressant. Strategies to overcome this can include: a different antidepressant (especially combination ssri-snri), use of atypical antipsychotic (e.g. Abilify), or methyl donor such as same or folic acid.

There are also procedures such as platelet rich plasma injections which can help.
