i have to go for a eus test tommorow i was just courois if the eus test would pick up something that cat scan or mri would miss?

Yes: The endoscopic ultrasound is capable of visualizing small lesions which might not be apparent on ct or mri. This is because the probe is brought right next to the area of interest and higher frequency probes can be used which provide higher resolution than can be obtained with trans-abdominal scanning.

i have concerns about a cat scan that showed a spot on my liver in march 2017 and then it was bigger in sept 2017 1.6-2.6cm 
i was supposed to get mri of it but i did not due to fear of mri now im worried ive missed something big ..

See doctor: There is nothing to be afraid of an MRI. MRI is not the only imaging method that could be used. Ultrasound examination may help. Even repeat CT may be useful. Do see your doctor for a consultation.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Shortness of breath: or Breathlessness can be caused by many factors. 22 year olds very rarely have heart failure especially after negative cardiac workup, You should follow up with your Doctor to look for the cause in you.

my son died from glioblastoma. he was 37 when it took him. he had a ct scan done a 15 years old. he had a dent in the side of his head from a bicycle accident. the ct scan showed no brain damage and he recovered fully. could this ct scan caused the t?

: The glioblastoma is considered a condition with no known cause. There is some data linking it to exposure to certain pesticides, in the manufacturing of petroleum or plastic products and focused (therapy) radiation into the brain. In medicine we never say never but the data doesn't show a linkage to trauma.

Yes.: It depends on the composition of the stone. Gallstones are usually cholesterol and may not be calcified. Tiny urate renal stones may alson not be seen.

Accepted Answer

No: No pheos are defined because one is looking for cause of hypertension and blood tests indicate tumor producing adrenaline line hormones is the cause.  A pheo at 2 cm. can easily be defined.  Many of these lesions even reach 10-15 cm. when first detected.

CT: That would depend on what type of tumor you are looking for. The CT would not miss gross tumor. For example it does not miss colon cancer, but it will miss early polyps.

&lt; 1 cm, yes: The size matters-- &lt; 1 cm and ct may miss it.  Ct w/ 3d reconstruction is markedly improved imaging technique, but this specific test needs to be requested before hand...

Not always: Brain CT scans without contrast do not always miss cerebellar tumors. A tumor whose density is different from that of its adjacent brain tissue, or whose size is such that it pushes away adjacent brain tissue (distorting the normal shapes and outlines) will likely be visible even on noncontrast scans.

can 2 ct scans with contrasr miss anything wrong in the gi tract ?

Accepted Answer

Yes: There can be structural, infectious and metabolic problems within the intestine and liver that are missed by ct scans.  Blood work, physical examination, dietary changes, and stool cultures will determine if direct visualization by scope is necessary.
