Maybe: There is definitely a genetic component to gallbladder disease, but it is still not possible to know who will actually need their gallbladder removed or not. In general, even those with gallstones only have removal of the gallbladder if they have symptoms that are likely caused from the gallbladder. Typically right upper abdominal pain radiating to the back, worse 30-60' after a fatty meal. Hope this helps!

i have gallbladder disease with an er of 14%. i occasionally have nausea and vomiting. my concern is that i always feel hungry and the need to eat constantly. hair loss as well. thyroid checked out fine. could it be from the gallbladder?

Gall bladder: Hair loss and constant hunger are not symptoms of gall bladder disease. Since your thyroid tests are normal other tests such as blood sugar, iron level   and pregnancy testing(unless this isn't a possibility)can be done. A gastroenterologist should be consulted to evaluate you for other gi issues although gall bladder dysfunction may explain periodic nausea and vomiting.

The : The colonoscopy will provide a more definitive answer to explain where the bleeding is coming from. However, here are a few things that could cause you to have blood in the stool:
1.Diverticuli - small pouches that project from the bowel, usually not a problem unless they get infected or inflamed
2. Colitis - inflammation of the colon
3. Fissue - similar to a paper cut within the colon or anus which happen as a result of a large/hard bowel movement
4. Peptic ulcer - open sore in the stomach which can bleed
5. Esophageal tear
6. Polyps - benign growths in the colon which can bleed or become cancerous

the colonoscopy will give your doctor a better picture of your situation.

Not likely: Treatment would be a laparoscopic cholecystectomy.  The gallbladder stores bile and pushes it into the intestines in response to eating fat in a meal.  Bile is a salt in solution.  In gallbladder disease, the gallbladder is not exchanging the bile properly causing the bile to sit there.  Like sugar in a jar of water, if it sits there, eventually it comes out of solution forming sludge.

It shouldn't hurt: Biotin deficiency is rare, but can occur in persons with genetic mutations, on long-term antibiotics or anti-convulsants, or who eat a lot of raw egg whites. There is no good evidence that larger doses of biotin supplement are needed, because normal people eating a regular, balanced diet should get enough of it from their foods. Various disorders can cause B12 deficiency and the need for more B12.

Easy diagnosis but: I do not want to give your disease one label. You could have more than one disease. Pain or heart burn?High thyroid needs treatement. Diarrhoea related to thyroid and/or high gastrin? Gastrin and pernicious anemia could be connected. During gall bladder surgery, what did the surgoen and pathologist report? A cancer doctor could  easliy help you, hope that you know answer soon? The sooner, better.

Good: While some abdominal operations promote adhesions and scarring, both appendectomy and tubal ligation occur in the lower part of the abdomen, away from the gallbladder.
Most experienced surgeons  should be able to  perform another laparoscopic surgery, but with the understanding that the degree of difficulty will increase chances of having to do an open procedure.

Have : Have you been tested for gastroparesis?  Diabetics are at risk for this condition, in which the stomach loses its ability to push food out into the intestine.  The stomach can't empty properly, so the food winds up being vomited out instead.

Need TSH level: You don't mention the units for the t3 (liothyronine) level.  If it is a free t3 (liothyronine) with units of pmol/l, then 5.1 would be normal.  The best test of thyroid function for someone without a thyroid and on thyroid hormone is the TSH level.
