Could be.: Prozac (fluoxetine) could cause weight gain all by itself.  Perhaps it's thwarting your efforts.  Contrave is a weight loss pill that contains an anti depressant (WellButrin) - might be a good choice to switch to from Prozac (fluoxetine).

: There is moderate interaction but you can use both together as long as you are closely monitored by your doctor for the effectiveness of weight loss and the adverse effects. If you are currently stable on current dose of Fluoxetine more than 3 months, it is relatively safe to use Phentermine.

Balance chemical : Prozac (fluoxetine) usually cause weight gains. Antidepressant is used to balance the neuro transmitters in your brain. After you stop it does affect some part of your brain. Sometimes it will restore your brain function if your body can make up the low neurotransmitter, but , unfortunately, sometimes your body can not make up the different, then you go back to previous stage. Everybody respond differently.

Improvement: It may be you are exercising more, or more active, and your mood is improving, resulting in healthier behaviors or lifestyle. It may also be a result of less stress eating with depression or anxiety.

Not very common: Prozac (fluoxetine) is supposed to be weight neutral.  I have seen people gain and lose weight on it, but i suspect the weight change is from changes in their depressive symptoms.  Remember, depression can cause changes in appetite either lowering or increasing, so if you're getting better, appetite should move toward normal.

Symbiax: Combination of prozac/zyprexa in short run can cause weight gain, depending on the dose. However, I have several patients on the medication for several months that told me they have maintained their wt. Or lost some, when their moods have been stable for some time, while they maintain healthy life-style changes.

I don't know: what your question is, bu Contrave is a naltrexone/bupropion combo approved only for weight loss. Otherwise, check w/your doctor.
