I would not: Nasal congestion at that age is aggravated by the smaller size of the nasal passages which make any swelling/drainage block things easier. I find ANY FUME/ODOR producing agent will act as a nasal irritant &amp; worsen things. I never suggest these things before school age, when the nasal passages are big enough to avoid this effect. Clean out the nose with saline wash &amp; use water in the humidifier.

i inhaled 4 drops of eucalyptus oil from a portable steam inhaler.now my nose is burning.was this too much?is it harmful?think dr said to use 1drop

Not harmful: Just irritating and should pass, may want to flush it out with saline or water. If symptoms persist see your doctor.

No fragrances : The first months are complicated by narrow nasal passages which swell/close if exposed to dust,fragrances, smoke &amp; other irritants.Baby tries to flush these out of the nose  with mucous but this often ends as congestion &amp; produces rattling with breathing.The best rx is washing out the nose with saline &amp; suctioning the remainder. Eliminate irritants from babies environment &amp; this will happen less.

my nasal membranes are swollen and have been like this for about a year and a half, it's difficult to breath at times. what could it be?

It could be time: To see an ENT doctor or an allergist. This could be allergies, or chronic sinus infection, or polyps in your nasal passages.

why would i only have problems with one side of my nose? always burning, aching, bleeding, infected, swollen nasal membranes. only a slight deviation.

Nose bleed: You should be evaluated by an ENT doctor. Also foreign body in nose has to be ruled out.

how can you prevent better atrophy of nasal membrane during winter and spring time? i have nasal oil, montelukast and prednisone. congestion of nose.

DO NOT: use a steroid spray since this is the MAJOR cause of nasal membrane atrophy.  The nasal oil is OK  as is Montelukast.

4 yr son full adenoids&tonsils removed 3/18/15. snoring&breathing issues again.had few colds since sept.can adenoids grow back?nose membranes swollen?

Rarely do adenoids : regrow enough to cause symptoms of nasal obstruction. Nasal  congestion &amp; fever, signs of a viral illness, can cause his current symptoms, as can allergies. If he still snores when well, his ENT may perform nasopharyngoscopy to visualize the anatomy &amp; mobility of his velopalatal muscle &amp; the operative site &amp; order a sleep study to rule out Obstructive Sleep Apnea. If concerned, call his ENT now.

ate spaghetti squash (w/olive oil, goat cheese, salt, pepper). nose swollen inside, sinusdrainage, asthma. allergic to squash?!? other food allergies.

Food allergy: If you ate the squash and had an immediate reaction (minutes to 2hrs) that included hives, swelling, shortness of breath, wheeze, throat tightness, vomiting or passing out then I would be concerned for a food allergy reaction. Would make an appointment with an allergist to determine what could be the culprit foods. Bring list of ingredients eaten that meal to appointment. Avoid foods until seen.
