: This would be little or no risk. But this is a peculiar treatment. When doxycycline is needed, almost always treatment is for at least a week. The most common reason for doxycycline is chlamydia or nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). These require 7 days treatment.

Probably yes, but...: ...make sure it's prostatitis. Most "prostatitis" in younger men actually is nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), which is an STD -- often caused by chlamydia, plus other sexually transmitted germs. NGU is commonly treated with doxy but prostatitis is not. You and he both need STD testing if not done. If prostatitis is confirmed, however, it's not harmful and not likely to interfere with conception.

can i drink zipsor and doxycycline hyclate together? also get methotrexate injection once a week, is there any drug interactions?

Doctor/Pharmacist: Have your doctor and pharmacist counsel you as the  Zipsor and Doxycycline increase Methotrexate doses and possible toxicity/side effects. I would be extremely cautious with these interactions.

: Kidney damage is not a common side effect of doxycycline; probably something else explains your elevated BUN. How high was it?

infected cyst just under eyebrow. prescribed doxycycline hyclate and mupirocin. how quick will these two meds reduce cyst size. will i still have to get this drained. or will meds remove cyst. not sure why derm didn't go ahead and drain. ?

Close to the eye: I would think the dermatologist factored in the risk of incision and drainage in an area like that... For example - cut too deep and you may damage the eye, that would be right underneath the scalpel blade (at least the top part of the eye and some important muscles that control the eye). Doxycycline and that ointment should work -it's dual therapy. See the doctor in a couple days if no better.

Not much to do...: This should clear up after you finish the antibiotics. There's not much you can do before then. Tooth and tongue brushing might help, but 2-3 times a day probably is sufficient. More often probably won't help much. If you're going to be on the antibiotics more than a few weeks, speak with the doctor who prescribed them. An anti-fungal lozenge (like nystatin) might help.

About antibiotics...: The current thinking is that except for rifampin, other commonly-used antibiotics (such as doxycycline and many others) do not alter the effectiveness of birth control pills. This is likely presuming a person is not sick with vomiting or rapid diarrhea, or some other condition that decreases the absorption of a swallowed pill.
