1000 mgm of garlic: No it is not too much, you can take 1000 mgm daily.

i want to take garlic pills to fight of mosquitos. will it give me a noticeable smell, however? one that people around me will be able to smell?

Probably no smell: Unfortunately there is little evidence that garlic pills or garlic in any form will ward off mosquitoes.  The gold standard is DEET -  all others are much less effective or not effective at all.  You might check Consumer Reports for a recent article on the effectiveness of anti-mosquito agents.

is it bad for some one who is on prilosec to take garlic pills? thinking about taking it for a few days to protect against viruses.

No: You can take the garlic with Prilosec but it won't do anything to protect against viral infection.

how should i space out a garlic pill and ibuprofen. i took one garlic pill yesterday now im on my period and need to take ibuprofen for my cramps. its been over 24 hours? i usually take 1 800mg ibuprofen pill?

: It doesn't matter at all. They can be taken together.

: The only possible solution is to stop taking garlic pills. They have no proved health benefit anyway.

Wait: BCP's if taken according to the directions are extraordinarily effective at what they claim to do (over 99 %). Of course if you skip doses or don't follow the directions exactly they don't work as well.  The best pregnancy tests will pick up a pregnancy five days after the fertilized egg implants in the wall of the uterus. As always tests can be wrong.

i take a 2000mg garlic pill once a month because i notice it helps cleanses my body. can i still take my garlic pill with my new derms prescription 1% clindamycin and 0.05 tretinoin? it wont affect anything will it.? or should i space them out?

: Topical medications in creams/lotion do not go deep enough to enter the blood. As such I cannot see where there would be any interaction with something you ingest that relies on the blood distribution for its effects.

i'm pregnant, in my first trimester. i feel i have an upper respiratory infection and want to take garlic pills instead of antibiotics. is it safe?

PREGNANCY: Taking antibiotic during the first trimester is safe if infrequent. Most respiratory infections are viral anyway. Garlic pills for  rx ?Not sure about it.

i am hypersensitive to all medications or pills. they stay in my system for over 18 hours.is okay to take children's dosages?

Ok: If you are sensitive to adult doses of medications.  It is ok to start with children's doses.

zyrtec (cetirizine) works best for me but also is very sedating for the next 24 hrs. can i split the pill and take a lower dose (5 mg) or even 2.5 mg children's dose? would those doses be less sedating?

Yes: But at your age it probably won't work very well either!
