See ID doctor: You should see an infectious disease specialist. You need to have the pus from the boils cultured so you can know what antibiotics will work to treat them. You need to find out if you have any underlying immune problems making you prone to them. Sick??: You could develop symptoms of diarrhea or nausea and vomiting. If no symptoms over 2 days you could possibly not have been affected by the water. Just remember to boil. Thanks.

Not likely: Boil water order is done to kill bacteria in DRINKING water. As long as you did not drink the water you should be ok. Also you used the universal precaution by washing your hands with bottled water and soap which helps preventing spread of ALL germs (bacteria and viruses.)

Your body has done the best it could but the bacteria have a head start and now you need to call in the support team -- which means an antibiotic.
