What?: Taking a bath should not be giving you bv.  You need to discuss this with the doctor managing you.  Bv can be passed back to you after treatment by your sexual partner who is colonized with the organisms you have been trying to eradicate.  This is not an std, altho sex can lead to recurrences.  Talk to your doctor.  Good luck.

If the smell: goes away completely and there is no abnormal discharge when you resume cleaning yourself- than it is likely not BV.

Rare cases: Very rare that tap water might be not treated or have any microorganism in it, 
best is to get it examined to take a swap for culture and proper medication.

No: Bv is naturally in your vagina, along with "yeast."  when one or the other gets off balance, the other will 'over grow'.  People think of BV and yeast as infections, but they are really just overgrowth of something normal.  The fishy smell after intercourse (sex) is as much the semen as it is you.    Use condoms to help with that and for safer sex!  if you need treatment for bv, see a doctor 1st.

Yes: Yes, it could be bacterial vaginitis. Stop self medicating and inform your treating OB MD of this problem for evaluation and possible treatment.

Unlikely to happen: The labia majora of infants keep the vaginal opening functionally closed during most activities. The chances of her getting anything from you are minimal and any material you drain into the bath water is likely inactive within minutes anyway.

It can help prevent: It but not cure it once you have it u need antibiotics either vaginal cream, vagina supp or oral pills, the yogurt must have active acidophilus cultures or u can get acidolphilus pills at any drugstore or probiotics but u must take them every day also heat and humidity in the vulva- vaginal area contribute to vaginosis, air and dryness are good.

2 vaginal cultures a month apart were pos for bv. took flagyl, no help. why would it not cure it? also, does bv cause urethra pain? that's my symptom.

Bacterial vaginosis: Recurrent/persistent BV is very common and frustrating. BV doesn't cause urethral pain. Trichomonas can mimic BV, but also should respond to metronidazole (Flagyl). Other STDs (gonorrhea, chlamydia) are more common in women with BV; make sure you were tested. If none of these, ask about alternate BV treatments (e.g. clindamycin, boric acid). Also avoid sex or consistent condoms for a few weeks.

i get running nose, continuous sneezes everytime i take head bath or eat yogurt, what might be the cause, what kind of cautions should i take? thanks

Rhinitis: Since there is no other detail (age etc) given, it is difficult to provide you an answer.  If eating yogurt causes you to sneeze , avoidance is the only answer.  Consider consulting an allergist if you are bothered enough.
