No, it does not: Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) (also called Septra or Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole) is an antibiotic for treating bacterial infections. It does not stop viruses. Thus, it does not treat herpes infections, which are caused by viruses.

No effect: Ciprofloxacin and sulfa-trimethprim (Bactrim) do not treat syphilis and are completely ineffective against it. They have no effect on blood test results for syphilis, herpes or hepatitis.

Sounds like herpes: Typical story for initial genital herpes. I hope your genital sore(s) were tested for HSV by PCR or culture (PCR is best). If positive, make sure the virus is typed, i.e. HSV1 or HSV2, which is very important in predicting future course, need for ongoing Rx, and preventing transmission to partners. If herpes, symptoms should start improving soon on valacyclovir (Valtrex). Get partner(s) checked.

Treatable, no cure: All HSV2 (or HSV1) infections are lifelong and no cure exists. (Do not be tempted by scam cures you may find online!)  However, it certainly is treatable to speed healing of the first infection, to reduce the frequency and severity of recurrent outbreaks, and to reduce the risk of transmission to sex partners. Talk with your doctor about valacyclovir (best, more expensive) or acyclovir. Good luck.

Antibiotic ?'s: Ciprofloxin or Bactrim are not effective in treatment of syphilis, herpes or hepatitis.  If contacts with these diseases occurs, see your gyn physician for an exam and testing for specific diagnoses, and appropriate treatments might be prescribed.

Yes if  it is: bacterial urethritis and the pathogen is susceptible to it.  Male urethritis can be traumatic, chemical, chlamydial, or bacterial.  Bactrim is a fair chioice but strongly suggest you determine the cause before taking an antibiotic which is not necessarily benign.
