Yes: Arimidex (anastrozole) (generic called anastrazole) is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to estrogen via the aromatase enzyme, hence the name. Such inhibition means that there will be less estrogen exposure at the growth plates allowing delayed closure (a process that is estrogen dependent) . Talk with your endocrinology specialist, esp that its use remain off label.

No: I would definitely recommend treatment (probably a bisphosphonate, unless there are contraindications). Some doctors would have started treatment two years ago knowing that you already had osteopenia and were going to start an aromatase inhibitor. I suggest that you see your endocrinologist.

Go see your doctor: Presumably you're taking Arimidex (anastrozole) to control your Estradiol to treat gynecomastia (rather than trying to jack up your testosterone). Loss of bone mineral density is a known consequence of excessively lowering one's estradiol. I'm not clear what kind of trouble you're having w/your dosing since you didn't mention your regimen. Regardless, you need to address your concern w/your doctor.

Rarely significant: I am not sure if you are referring to a particular type of surgery, but you can develop some bone resorption on the chin over a long period of time with a chin implant. This is rarely significant aesthetically and is more common in patients with "mentalis muscle strain" with a lot of lower teeth show.
