OCD &amp; schizophrenia: are two different disorders.  Your anxiety may be what is prompting you to ask this question.  The fact that you have not had any schizophrenic symptoms is a good sign. NO!: I can't imagine any way that probiotics could  cause these symptoms.We all have about 100 trillion bacteria in our intestines- adding a few billion friendly bacteria to this has minimal effect;it might help eliminate unfriendly microbes, which is only beneficial. There are many potential causes of your problems-nutrient deficiencies, toxic exposures, food allergies, infections, thyroid- see a good doc!

Anxiety vs paranoia: Someone suffering from paranoid delusion is convinced that what they believe is true  in spite of all evidence to the contrary. They cannot be talked out of their delusion nor can they be comforted. Someone with anxious thoughts is usually fretting the future in spite of the fact that what they are fearing is unlikely to happen. They do not argue with that lack of likelihood, but will complain that they cannot control their thoughts.

You are in an area of the U.S. In which lyme disease is prevalent.  Strongly suggest you see your doctor and get diagnosed one way or another.  Hope you are better soon.
