i have severe stomach cramps from a stomach ulcer...its an "old" problem flaring up again....i have taken omez 20 but it seems to be getting worse. what else can i take for the pain?

See doctor: You need to check with your doctor especially when omez failed.  For example, you may have a H Pylori infection causing the ulcer in the first place.  You will also need to stop taking NSAID until you have seen your doctor.

i ate dairy products and immediately after took doxycycline to treat my acne and minutes later i had massive stomach cramps? could this be an ulcer or something else? how long does it take for a stomach ulcer to develop?

NOT: an ULCER BUT an adverse reaction (not "allergic" "ADVERSE" reaction to doxy is possible and quite common! Other drug for acne prevention and treatment are available.....

Can't tell : Test those foods one by one. What i mean is eat one of these foods one day and eat the another one in another day and see if you will get cramps. Avoid the ones gives you cramps.

Fast food hurts gut: Fast food is notorious for being low in fiber & generally high in calories from concentrated sweets & fat.  Fats delay stomach emptying & promote reflux.  Dietary fats also promote release of cck & substance y which alters gut sensitivity, contracts the gallbladder, & prompts the "ileal brake" which in predisposed patients causes bloating & fullness. Choose instead salads, fruits, & whole grains.

Gastritis? Ulcer?: Stomach pain or cramps would be located in area of upper mid abdomen. Pain relieved by food makes may be one of the two above. Some causes are one of a combo of stress, highly spicy foods, excess coffee, anti-inflammatory drug...Food neutralizes stomach acid, as do anti-acid drugs. Lying down perhaps helps relax. If reducing exacerbating factors doesn't resolve the cramps, gp or GI evaluation.

See Your Doctor: Much more information is needed to elucidate the cause of child’s stomach cramps such as duration, stool patterns, dietary habits, past medical/family history and more. Additionally growth chart patterns are important. Physical examination is crucial to diagnostic process as well. Make doctor appt now. Start a daily diary now of: symptoms, foods eaten, stools w/ color &amp; consistency. Bring to appt.

Food poisoning maybe: Your symptoms are too nonspecific, but the timing of symptoms (and lack of refrigeration of pre-cooked food) sure supports an expectation of food poisoning. Should pass, but if distress persists, or is accompanied by bleeding, worsening pain, lightheadedness, or development of vomiting or fever, then get a good examination with appropriate testing for reassurance and/or treatment.

Which foods?: Which foods are you noticing the cramps with? Keep a log and then try eliminating these foods one at a time to see if this is the culprit. You can get the child tested for gluten intolerance which is important to know about for growth purposes. Gluten intolerance can prevent correct absorption of nutrients and inhibit growth.

Frozen yogurt: might cause cramps from the COLD itself and a sensitive gastro-colic reflex  (Reflex after eating "preparing" the bowels for intake)...This effect should not last for more than a few minutes..Prolonged cramps could indicate Lactose deficiency...
