STD treatments ?: STD's are treated by identification by culture and further lab determinations of sensitivity to a specific antibiotic. Viral STD's have a variety of antimicrobials used as well.

Not effectively: It might kill a few gonorrhea but many strains are resistant. It is a 3rd tier  treatment for chlamydia if taken long enough. If you think you were exposed to some STD it is worth having tests &amp; the preferred treatment. Both of these agents can cause long term problems if not treated effectively.

im seeing conflicting info on here & hoping for some clarity. ive seen some say amoxicillin use wouldnt impact results of an std urine test after just a couple days and others say it will. what are chances of false negative naat after 3 days use?

: The conflict may be that it depends on which STD and what kind of test. Also, amoxicillin would interfere with some but not all gonorrhea testing; some gonorrhea strains are resistant to it, and some susceptible. Chlamydia is uncertain, because amoxicillin concurrent, when given for a week or more, but the effect of 2-3 days. A positive result will be valid; a negative result, unknown.

STD: No, antibiotics are specific to the type of bacteria suspected as the infective organism and it certainly would not treat viral infection such as Herpes. You need to see your doctor and not just take some antibiotic left over in your or someone else's medicine cabinet.

took std test a few months ago for gonnorea,clamydia,and trichomonasis.all results were negative. 24-48hrs prior i had to take amoxicillin for a tooth abcess.would that have masked the results?no antibiotics,took more tests all negative,no trich test

No: The results are accurate.   The presence of the bacteria would not have been altered by the medication you used.

Strep related: There are at least two forms of rash associated with strep. One is related to a toxin released by living strep germs, typically flat, sand papery and rosey. Anther is a hive like eruption (bumps) that can be associated with it. There are a few STD associated rashes, but what you describe is not how they appear.

i started taking amoxicillin friday;sinusitis; i have a test for chlamydia/gonhorrea monday. will antibiotic mess up my std results? stop amox or not?

Do not stop: Continue taking your antibiotics  as prescribed.  This will not "mess up" your testing for chlamydia / gonorrhea.  Amoxicillin can treat these infections but should not alter a test after just a few days of antibiotics.
