Can be ovulation: Spotting can occur during ovulation,but also can occur early in pregnancy.Antibiotics can decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills.If you are sexually active and you don't get your regular period(if you get periods on the particular pill you are on),I recommend doing a pregnancy test.If you are continuing on the antibiotics,please use a condom in addition to your pills(or hold off on sex)

Check a home urine pregnancy test the after a missed period and if negative repeat in a week - that's the only way to be sure. Take Folic Acid 1 mg daily and best of luck!

Depends: Need to ask your pharmacist on specific pill formulation--some must stay intact so get "time release" dosing effect. Others, crush away! if there is any indication of extended release ("er" or similar in name), definitely not.
