Stuffy Nose: A stuffy nose for three months equals chronic rhinitis, an anatomic problem or a foreign body. If you didn't stick anything up your nose, i would suggest rhinitis as the most common. Go see your primary healthcare provider. He or she may have you see an ENT or allergy doctor next, if your stuffy nose does not improve. I am biased toward ENT - as i feel we perform the most thorough nasal exam.

Indoor allergies?: Nasal steroid might help this.  Try otc antihistamines as well, such as Claritin or allegra.  May use a decongestant (if you don't have high blood pressure) but decongestants may keep you from sleeping well.  As always, consult your doctor if continued problems.

Yes: Adenoids being enlarged is a prime reason of nasal congestion in children.  It can also increase runny nose and issues with ear infections.  Adenoidectomy is one of the most common surgeries performed in the us every year.  

If you are asking about an adult, then the adenoids are very unlikely to be the culprit.  In grownups, allergies and enlarged turbinates or septal deviation are more common.
