: Not likely. Melanoma can show color changes, nodule formation, irregular border, bleeding etc. but the changes usually progress slowly. If you have any doubt, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

: Changes are usually taking longer, but that does not rule out a melanoma. Best would be to have your doc examine your skin lesion not just for getting a clear answer, but for peace of mind as well.

Obtain biopsy report: A biopsy report of microscopic examination is what we need to know both to confirm that it indeed is melanoma or some other inflammatory condition, and how deep/thickness of this lesion is  as reported by the pathologist. Then we can guide you further.

3 weeks ago i scratched a mole off that had changed  colour overnight it left a pigmented legion .should i wait a few weeks to see if it grows back to go to a dermatologist?  would it have spread by now and caused symptoms by now  if it were melanoma?

: Probably not melanoma but instead of procrastinating and guessing it might be better to see the Dermatologist sooner than later.

No: Moles don't generally change color overnight, although you may not have noticed before.  You should see a dermatologist at your nearest convenience, or whichever physician you're seeing next.  She/he can evaluate the mole and help you to navigate for a biopsy, ultimately needed for definitive evaluation.

Have it checked: Unless the injection was directly into the mole, an injection in same arm at another site should not have caused the changes you described. Please have it checked asap.

It is possible to: irritate a mole, so apply some topical ointment and a bandaid and get in to see dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. It may just be infected

Skin cancer: Which arises from melanocytes, which are the cells in the skin which give it color.  For this reason, melanomas are often dark colored on the skin (but some are not). Search on the abcd's of melanoma to learn how to spot a melanoma (or see the image).  Melanomas are dangerous because even a small cancer can metastasize.  However, caught early enough, they are curable.
