Seborrhea: There are few reasons why you might have such a condition.
Try using Shampoo containing Ketocanazole, as it helps in sorting few of these conditions.
However, if the condition persists you might need to see your doctor or a skin specialist; you mentioned the word "Folliculitis" and this might be caused by infectious organisms.

Topicals: Follicular does recur in people prone to it.  You should have an antibiotic cream rx from you doctor as oral antibiotics only used for severe cases not responding to a topical treatment.

Folliculitis: Have you consulted a dermatologist to get an accurate diagnosis or to determine why your scalp hair follicles keep getting damaged and infected by staph bacteria? Unless oily foods affect your scalp I can't see a relationship between nut ingestion and folliculitis flare up. Get appropriate treatment by a dermatologist.

Maybe: Some people become colonized by staph in their scalp. The use of antibacterial soap mixed with your shampoo will decrease the bacteria. Oral vitamin c and bovine colostrum are options to stimulate the white blood cells to help prevent follicultis.

See a deermatologist: Begin with evaluation by a skin specialist. Meanwhile use a daily shampoo, perhaps with salicylic acid such as T-Sal. Probably need long-term minocycline or doxycycline 50 or 100mg a day for at least a year.
