Depends: The weight range for a 13 yo runs 75-150 lb so dosing by weight is quite difficult without knowing the kids weight. The average kid at ~100 lb could easily handle 400mg every 6 hours as needed.I would not go any higher unless directed by a physician . Any kid with kidney function problems should check with their physician before using this product.
