Give it time: It can take a few months to adjust to a new birth control pill.  Also, low dose pills are notoriously associated with irregular bleeding.  If your periods are sill heavy after 3-4 months of correct use of the pill, see your doctor.

Sure: This is an extended cycle birth control pill where you only have a withdrawal bleed every 3 months. Some do not bleed on birth control. If you are concerned about pregnancy then rule it out with a home pregnancy test.

if im on 0.1-0.2mg 1x day camrese lo, should i still be having irregular periods? im 19 n i mite have 1 every 4months somtimes not even that often.help

This is normal: When you are on the pill you are not ovulating so you will not have the same sorts of periods.  Usually the periods will be lighter and sometimes, like in your case, they disappear entirely.  This is not dangerous and does not mean anything is blocked.  A higher dose pill will probably correct this, but that is really exposing yourself to extra hormones for no really good reason.

7-14 days: New birth control pills become effective quickly. The exact answer depends on when in the menstrual cycle you start them. A good general answer is 2 weeks.

Just : Continue and finish the pack but don't start the next pack until the sunday you are supposed to start it on.

At least 2 weeks.: You should be protected after 2 weeks, but I usually recommend to my patient ro use backup contraception the first month. Also remember that, while the pill will reduce your risk for pregnancy, it won't protect you against STDs.

Not advisable.: Doubling the dose of your Pill may arrest the bleeding, but it's NOT advisable.  First, it would be a temporary fix at best.  Second, by doubling the dose, you'll run out of active pills too soon &amp; risk more menstrual irregularities.  Finally, doubling the dosage will increase the chance of side effects, including the possibility of blood clots.  Please contact your prescribing physician instead.
