Yes: He is colonized and will cause  no harm!  how about the people you bump into on a daily basis that are MRSA colonized that you do not know about.

Do : Do you plan to use the response for custody purposes?  I always wonder, because invariably there will some variability between the information provided by each parent.  While, not ideal, what needs to be balanced into the equation is if your toddler's mother is consistent with him; if she takes care of his needs and if she is able to show him love.  When a child's parents aren't together; often the situation isn't ideal; but people do the best they can. If you believe that your child's situation isn't ideal; are there things you can think of to help his mother with a solution?

Surgery &amp; admission: One of my family members was hospitalized &amp; had surgery this week (a couple of states over from you). The amount of effort put into social distancing, keeping surfaces clean, etc. was remarkable.  I think overall, the North East is doing a pretty good job. My biggest concern would have been the rehabilitation facility after a total knee replacement - but it sounds like that won't even be an issue.

No, but...: Many things are possible in life. The chances of catching brain-eating amoeba from tap water in the U.S. is so unlikely that the answer is "no". If the water's chlorination or disinfection became inadequate, it's possible that Naegleria could survive in that water. The level of chlorination should remain high enough all the way to one's tap, as Naegleria cysts are somewhat resistant to chlorine.

The disadvantage is that childbirth can be associated with potential problems/complications for the mom & baby, a home doesn't have necessary medical equipment nor personnel to deal with obstetrical emergencies! i strongly advise against this. You can find a user friendly obstetrical facility that can provide the comfort of a home birth with security to provide care.

Chappals: If you mean a type of slipper or sandal, this depends on the condition of your home and your personal customs.  If the floor is clean and you aren't worried about stepping on insects or other things, you could go barefoot.  Here in arizona scorpions can occasionally get into people's houses -- not fun to find in the night!  i'm a good aim with birkenstock thick-soled sandals.  :-).
