Depends on how : Surgery is done- bone graft from your own hip region known as an iliac graft and whether any plate or instrumentation is used.  However, for most it is less than a 24 hour stay in hospital with average healing time in a nonsmoker of about 12 weeks with restrictions/activities guided by need for a brace or not as well as use of medication that may affect you so discuss this fully with your surgeon.

Options: Hard to answer without seeing films. However, alternative management with acupuncture has provided my patients with excellent relief even when surgeons want to cut.  The most important aspect of choosing an acupuncturist for this is that he/she is knowledgeable of spine medicine: when it spine is stable and when surgical stabilization is essential  If stabilization is not an issue, try acupuncture

Worsened Scar: Ultraviolet light can cause your scar to appear more red than it would have, then if you had protected it. You should protect it from the sun and UV exposure for at least a year. If the appearance doesn't bother you. The sun beds will not effect the fusion itself.

Disc loading: I do not use terms, "domino effect."  The fact is having two levels fused in your neck definitely means adjacent levels are being overworked and have a significant chance of being injured resulting in bulges/herniations.  If you gave récent l'y hard fusion as above, try to minimize neck flexion.  If you have recurrent neck/arm pain since above fusion--problems.  I might be able to help you.

Means you have fused: Lower cervical spine (c5-7) levels, while the upper c spine shows large spurs from the arthritis on the front of the spine.
Essentially it means you have arthritis in the non-fused (upper) c spine.

Radic: Yes radiculopathy can correct without surgery or injection. This usually involves strengthening of the muscles surrounding the spinal column to respread the discs apart.

i had posterior cervical fusion, c6-c7, four months ago. is it normal for the tops of the screws to be visible through skin, protruding bulges?

No: That would be unusual unless you were an extremely thin person or you had other previous surgeries in that area.
