It would depend.: The type of cancer would determine if a patient could have this symptom.  Expect it in gastrointesinal cancer, like stomach, esophageal, small intestine, and colon cancers.  This is a nonspecific finding that would be highly unlikely to mean that death is near.  Other symptoms (dysphagia, abdominal discomfort, change in stool) would be more helpful.

Sounds like: Hyperacidity.  You may want to be checked, but consider taking otc ranitidine while you are waiting, 150 mg, twice daily. Reflux may be a cause of barrett's esophagus and a risk of esophageal cancer.

: No, burping would not be a usual symptom of stomach cancer. Burping would be more likely to indicate a problem with acid reflux. Stomach cancer usually does not have any symptoms, although severe weight loss can be an indication of the problem. Reflux: This is likely a sign of some sort of indigestion or reflux.  You can try anti-acid such as Pepcid (famotidine) to see if symptoms get better.  You should also consult with your doctor as you may need upper endoscopy for direct visualization of your stomach.

Nausea : These symptoms require more information to provide a firm recommendation. Most concerning is to rule out that it is an unlikely heart condition.   Usually, heart conditions are worse with activity and are associated with shortness of breath. This may be inflammation of the stomach, gall bladder or pancreas.

You might try drinking water after eating to see if that flushes it all down!
