i have a 29 days old baby girl and i am breastfeeding,however she vomits every time after eating and i burp her and then she gets hiccups.

Infant feeding: Newborn infants will drink too rapidly during feedings, creating "swallowed air" which causes regurgitation ("vomiting").  Disengage your baby from the breast after one or two minutes, "burp" her gently, and then continue nursing.  The infant will be more "full" and not swallow so much air, which will diminish her regurgitation.

is it abnormal to have "reverse burps" that feel/sound more like hiccups? no pain, happens usually after eating. is it the same as a regular burp?

after eating i have constantly been struggling with becoming physically ill, it starts with hiccups which leads to heart burn, and burping up stomach acid and food. this also leads me to have stomach pains and a head ache, i have lost my appetite.

: People belch either air they swallow during eating or drinking, or carbonation (CO2) released from involved fluids. You may even air swallow between feeds. You do not belch gasses released during foods transit through the rest of the digestive tract. If you have changed what you eat/drink this may be part of the issue.

Yes, especially: if it bothers you.  It could be any number of things, from GERD to infection to something even more serious.  It is impossible to say for sure without full history, examination, and even tests.  You need to see a doctor to make sure.

No more potato soup!: Air in the digestive tract may come from a variety of sources--maldigestion due to enzyme deficiency (ex. Lactose intolerance) or food intolerance (ex. Gluten sensitivity), fermentation by gut bacteria (as with bacterial overgrowth syndrome or changed flora after antibiotics), altered GI tract motility, excessive air swallowing, as well as inflammatory and infectious causes.  Easy to test 4 these.

: Hiccups and Burping are a form of Gas Pressure relief mechanism for the stomach, especially if it is full with Food and/ or Drinks. Air swallowing (Aerophagia) due to Habit, Anxiety, Stress and /or Emotional Excitement,;... can also cause hiccups &amp; burping.  No, they are not dangerous but if One is a Smoker, that might be an encouragement to stop.
