People belch either air they swallow during eating or drinking, or carbonation (CO2) released from involved fluids. You may even air swallow between feeds. You do not belch gasses released during foods transit through the rest of the digestive tract. If you have changed what you eat/drink this may be part of the issue.

In addition to Dr. F's advice,I find that often people force themselves to belch repeatedly and this actually increases air swallowing, more gas buildup and more belching. Nature intends to have gastrointestinal gas to be passed down the intestinal tract and out the rectum. Avoiding gassy foods& beverages & taking simethicone after meals should reduce gas buildup.
