Helpful: Vasoline does not specifically "heal" anything. Our bodies do the healing. Vasoline is soothing and created a fairly waterproof barrier which may facilitate the healing process.

Gentle care: Chemical burns are similar to heat burns. It is simply inflammation which means increase blood flow to the area to promote healing. Depth determines care. Do not use ice worsens already injured skin. Cool water soaks help as can taking anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil (ibuprofen). Avoid any further damage (excess heat/sun)as this can cause scarring . Good skin cream applied daily/gently helps.

Burn: If cold packs, ibuprofen and topical barrier creams are not relieving your symptoms you need to be checked for further assessment and management. All the best and avoid Nair in sensitive areas.

Stop using Nair: Stop using the Nair in that area.  That skin is sensitive in that area, on some people.

Time will Heal: I am not sure what we can do here for you other than to remind you that damaged or injured skin heals with time. I would not advise putting any further product on this delicate tissue, but letting it heal on it's own.

Ice: Run cool water over the burn for 10-20 minutes and then apply ice.  If any sign of abrasion, consider a topical antibiotic. Can also use numbing cream (containing low dose of lidocaine). Nsaids (ibuprofen, Aleve, (naproxen) etc) may help. Expect discomfort for 3-4 days.

See a GYN MD: Unfortunately, you may have been "burned" by the Nair and a GYN MD needs to see the area to make sure that it is not secondarily infected. At that visit medication can be prescribed for pain and "burning".

Chemical burn: Rinse under cold shower for at least 5 minutes and apply cool compresses as long as needed for pain.  Apply a very bland moisturizer such as vaseline or aloe between compresses.  You could also be allergic to the chemicals, same treatment would help.  Good luck!
