I'm jealous...we used to live in Austin....beautiful weather but you can keep the fire ants! Now, why at such a young age are you having these issues? Your symptoms could be an entrapment of the suprascapular nerve.  See a neurologist for more workup.

Trigger points: If intermittent, it is likely that you are having trigger points in muscles of your upper back that then trigger pain radiation into the 
arms and down into the rib cage. In a young person this is often posture or activity related. Have your primary send you to a rehab medicine doctor or a neurologist interested in musculoskeletal pain.

GERD: The most common symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)  are heartburn, regurgitation, and dysphagia (problems swallowing). Differential diagnosis of GERD includes coronary artery disease. Women are less likely than men to have typical angina (chest pain). Symptoms of MI in women may differ slightly from those in men. Many cases go unrecognized, particularly at young age or in diabetes.
