May need an exam: Throat pain can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor (call first) if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent, or doesn't go away quickly. COVID-19 infections tend to have cough, whereas strep usually lacks cough but has more throat pain.

Several causes: Your symptoms are very common, so likely a common cause: allergic rhinitis, non allergic rhinitis, gastric reflux or start of a mild viral infection. Call your Dr if symptoms worsen (such as fever, cough or shortness of breath) otherwise continue to monitor your symptoms. Drink plenty of fluids, and avoid foods that could trigger heartburn to help rule out possible causes.

came off lamotrigine jan 7 due to side effects.  i still have conjunctivitis and extreme eye itchiness. the skin around my eye sometimes feels like its burning and is very itchy. sometimes rest of face is itchy. worsening sore throat. sjs? go to er?

Need to sort out: Once the skin reaction(s) secondary to lamotrigine commence, stopping the drug typically results in remission, unless Stevens-Johnson Syndrome has started. This a slippery slope, as there may be another contiguous problem such as COVID-19, which will need testing just in case.  Either way, today, see a doctor, and if indeed things are moving negatively, go to ER.  Better to be overly cautious here

Hot liquids.: Many things are used commonly. Hot salt water gargles, hot tea with honey.  Otc preps like chloraseptic ( a numbing medication) or guaifanesin ( an expectorant) plus or minus dm ( a cough suppressant).

Very possible : It's very possible that you have been exposed to a virus. Watch your symptoms for increased fever, and other worsening signs of a more significant illness. Drink plenty of fluids, get good rest and eat well. If getting worse after 5-7days consider getting a consult. Always be seen if significant worsening. Gargling warm salt water and plain Robitussin (guaifenesin) may help symptoms. Good luck.
