A-C Joint? : If a young person were to have shoulder pain with pain lying on shoulder at night &amp; weakness with lifting &amp; a &quot;popping&quot; sound; then consideration might be for A-C, acromioclavicular, separation. Has there been a traumatic injury or fall onto shoulder? Skateboarding? See an Osteopath or Physiatrist. A-C joint X-ray films standing upright with &amp; without weights might be needed; as well as an MRI.

i've been suffering shoulder pain for  4 weeks. i had x-rays done on my spine (as the pain was to the right of the spinal cord, felt like a burning sensation and also down the arm), but they show nothing. i want to get referred but my gp is on leave?

Radiculopathy: Sounds like a pinched nerve.if no weakness the first thing to try is physical therapy.After that if no better then consider MRI,pain management and last if fails to improve consider orthopedics.

No, this isn't GERD: This symptoms constellation is not consistent with reflux disease. It should be checked out just the same. The fact that the pain is worse when you touch the area suggests that it is either musculoskeletal or nerve pain. Is it related to meals? I'm wondering why you are associating this with reflux? The best way to approach this is to visit with your doc and have an exam done with some tests.

Complex Joint: The shoulder is a complex joint, & many conditions/ injuries  (rotator cuff strain bursitits, tendonitis, labral pathology, nerve injury, etc) can cause pain. Some injuries of the shoulder occur due to acute injury & some from overuse. Start with rice (includes ice) consider a gradual return to activity, and see an orthopedist if pain persist.

Have anexam: The lymph nodes in your arm pits may be fighting some sort of infection and your depleted condition and tension/fatigue could have affected your back. See a Dr to find the cause(s) and get some relief. While I'd be silly to declare that you don't have cancer latent somewhere - I don't see any reason to think you do. Ask the doctor who does your exam/lab work to evaluate that possibility. Best!

See your doctor : If you are having pain and you are already on significant pain medication then it is important to have any new pain checked out. Imagine how bad the new pain would be without being on pain medication and that would assuredly bring you to the doctor.

Nerve problem: The pain described as "burning" is frequently related to some problem with a nerve. The nerves send signals from the extremities toward the spinal cord and brain. A nerve pain starting in the shoulder is unlikely to be related to pain in the foot. The spinal cord sends signals upward toward brain . The foot and shoulder nerves could be affected by same condition like multiple sclerosis.
