Neuropathy: Try to change position which aggravate burning sensation. If condition persist or worsen need evaluation for cause of neuropathy to rule out compression or other causes of neuropathy

i'm using trixaicin for my knee and for a few hours i'm having the worst burning sensation ever i know it's a side effect but its horrible. remedies?

Not an easy solution: Burning is a common side effect of capsaicin lotion - if you are having constant pain try go clean some of the lotion off with warm water and soap.  Capsaicin exerts its effects by decreasing the amount of substance P that transmits pain signals to your brain.  Unfortunately, burning may be a reason to not use this medication.

See orthopedist: May just be a baker's cyst that is inflamed, but needs to be checked out.

Knee injury: A contusion of the knee structures would be likely if you landed on your knee when you fell. Numbness is probably due to bruising of superficial nerves. Bone or patella bruises may take a couple of weeks to heal. Worrisome signs would be swelling, persistence or worsening of pain. See an orthopedic surgeon if you still have significant knee discomfort.

Foot pronation: A very common cause of this type of pain is foot pronation.  When the foot rolls in and the arch flattens it causes stress on the soft tissues on the inner knee area.  An orthotic prescribed by a podiatrist
should  correct this problem.  If this is not the problem have an evaluation by an orthopedic md.
